CVE-2024-8425 affects the WooCommerce Ultimate Gift Card plugin for WordPress in all versions up to and including 2.6.0. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient file type validation in the 'mwb_wgm_preview_mail' and 'mwb_wgm_woocommerce_add_cart_item_data' functions. Because uploaded files are not adequately restricted to safe types, an unauthenticated attacker can upload arbitrary files to the server hosting the affected WordPress site. If the uploaded file is placed in a web-accessible location and executable by the server-side environment, this can lead to remote code execution.

This repository contains a Python exploit (WUGC.py) targeting CVE-2024-8425, a vulnerability in the WooCommerce Ultimate Gift Card plugin for WordPress (versions <= 2.6.0). The exploit automates the process of scanning a list of target WordPress sites to identify those running the vulnerable plugin, and then attempts to upload a PHP webshell via a vulnerable AJAX endpoint. If successful, the shell is accessible in the 'wp-content/uploads/mwb_browse/' directory of the target site, providing the attacker with remote code execution capabilities. The exploit is operational, requiring only a list of target URLs and Python 3 to run. The repository also includes a README with usage instructions and references to the CVE and related resources. No hardcoded IPs or domains are present; the script is designed for mass exploitation based on user-supplied target lists.
