CVE-2024-8924 is an unauthenticated blind SQL injection vulnerability affecting the ServiceNow Now Platform, including Xanadu, Washington DC, and earlier releases. The flaw allows externally supplied input to influence backend SQL queries without proper neutralization, enabling inference-based extraction of data even when query results are not directly returned to the requester. ServiceNow identified the issue as a blind SQL injection condition in the core platform and released fixes for hosted and self-hosted deployments. Successful exploitation could allow an unauthenticated attacker to retrieve unauthorized information stored within the platform.
