CVE-2024-9463 is an unauthenticated OS command injection vulnerability in Palo Alto Networks Expedition versions earlier than 1.2.96. A remote attacker can inject and execute arbitrary operating-system commands in the Expedition environment with root privileges, without user interaction.

This repository contains a functional proof-of-concept exploit for CVE-2024-9463. The main file, CVE-2024-9463.py, is a Python script that automates exploitation of a command injection vulnerability in a web application's /API/convertCSVtoParquet.php endpoint. The exploit works by: 1. Generating a bash reverse shell script (bash.sh) that connects back to the attacker's machine. 2. Hosting this script on a local HTTP server. 3. Starting a netcat listener to catch the reverse shell. 4. Sending a specially crafted POST request to the vulnerable endpoint on the target, causing the target to download and execute the attacker's bash.sh script. If successful, the attacker receives a reverse shell from the target, granting remote command execution. The repository consists of the exploit script and a minimal README. The exploit is operational, providing a working payload and automating the attack process. No hardcoded product or vendor is specified, but the targeted endpoint is clearly fingerprintable.
