CVE-2025-11984 is a medium-severity authentication bypass vulnerability in GitLab Community Edition and Enterprise Edition affecting WebAuthn-based two-factor authentication. The flaw affects GitLab CE/EE versions from 13.1 before 18.4.6, 18.5 before 18.5.4, and 18.6 before 18.6.2. Under certain conditions, an authenticated user could manipulate session state in a way that bypasses the WebAuthn second-factor check. The issue is therefore a security restriction bypass in the authentication flow rather than an initial unauthenticated login bypass.
