Affected versions allow crafted GraphQL queries to bypass the intended query complexity limits, enabling excessive server-side resource consumption. The issue affects GitLab CE/EE all versions from 11.10 before 18.4.6, 18.5 before 18.5.4, and 18.6 before 18.6.2. The flaw can be triggered by an unauthenticated attacker over the network and results in service degradation or interruption rather than code execution or data exposure.
