CVE-2025-14179 is an SQL injection vulnerability in PHP's PDO Firebird driver. In affected PHP releases, the driver reparses and reconstructs SQL supplied to PDO::prepare(). When a quoted string token contains an embedded NUL byte, the reconstruction path uses strncat(), which terminates at that byte rather than preserving the complete binary string. This can truncate the token before its closing quote, causing subsequent SQL tokens to be interpreted as part of an attacker-controlled string or expression. The flaw affects PHP 8.2 before 8.2.31, 8.3 before 8.3.31, 8.4 before 8.4.21, and 8.5 before 8.5.6.
