CVE-2025-14232 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in the XML processing of XPS files in Canon small office multifunction printers and laser printers running firmware version 06.02 and earlier across affected Satera, imageCLASS, i-SENSYS, and imageRUNNER product lines. The flaw is in the XPS parser and is described as a stack-based buffer overflow caused by improper validation of the length of user-supplied data before it is copied into a stack buffer during XPS XML parsing. Successful exploitation can be performed by an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the target device or network segment and may cause the printer to become unresponsive or allow arbitrary code execution in the context of the device.
