CVE-2025-14233 is an invalid free vulnerability in CPCA file deletion processing affecting multiple Canon small office multifunction printers and laser printers running firmware version 06.02 and earlier. Public reporting also associates exploitation with the BJNP service on affected Canon imageCLASS devices. The flaw stems from incorrect use of a memory release function, resulting in a memory corruption condition when crafted network input reaches the vulnerable processing path. An attacker on the same network segment can trigger the condition without authentication, potentially causing the device to become unresponsive or enabling arbitrary code execution in the context of the printer.
