CVE-2025-14236 is a buffer overflow vulnerability in Address Book attribute tag processing affecting multiple Canon small office multifunction printers and laser printer product lines running firmware version 06.02 and earlier. Available technical reporting identifies the flaw as a stack-based buffer overflow in the dtdc_addr_importSub method caused by improper validation of attacker-controlled data length before copying data into a fixed-length stack buffer. Successful exploitation can be performed by an unauthenticated attacker with network access to the affected device or network segment and may cause the printer to become unresponsive or permit arbitrary code execution in the context of the device.
