CVE-2025-14733 is a critical out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the iked (Internet Key Exchange daemon) process of WatchGuard Fireware OS. The flaw is triggered during IKEv2 negotiation handling and has been described as exploitable through crafted IKE_AUTH request messages containing abnormally large CERT payloads, including payloads larger than 2000 bytes. Successful exploitation can corrupt memory and permit arbitrary code execution on affected Firebox appliances. The issue affects Mobile User VPN with IKEv2 and Branch Office VPN using IKEv2 when configured with a dynamic gateway peer. A device can also remain vulnerable in some cases where affected IKEv2 configurations were previously enabled and later deleted, if a branch office VPN to a static gateway peer is still configured.
