CVE-2025-22058 is an integer-overflow flaw in Linux kernel UDP receive-memory accounting. During UDP socket destruction, udp_destruct_common() totals queued skb truesize values in an unsigned variable and passes that total to udp_rmem_release(), whose affected interface uses a signed integer. A receive-queue total exceeding the signed integer range is converted to a negative value, corrupting sk_forward_alloc and UDP global memory accounting. The accounting error can persist after the socket is closed and may become more pronounced when deferred per-CPU accounting is drained by subsequent UDP activity.
