CVE-2025-22104 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the Linux kernel IBM Virtual Network Interface Controller (ibmvnic) driver. The driver's hexadecimal-dump logging code cast a buffer to an 8-byte value and printed it with string formatters. When the buffer length was not divisible by eight, the final read could extend beyond the allocated buffer. KASAN detected the issue as a slab-out-of-bounds read in ibmvnic_login. The fix replaces the unsafe fixed-width reads with an ibmvnic helper that iterates over the buffer using hex_dump_to_buffer.
