CVE-2025-22224 is a time-of-check time-of-use (TOCTOU) vulnerability in the Virtual Machine Communication Interface (VMCI) component of VMware ESXi and VMware Workstation. The race condition leads to an out-of-bounds write. An attacker holding local administrative privileges within a guest virtual machine can exploit the flaw to execute code in the virtual machine's VMX process on the host.
