CVE-2025-2255 is a high-severity cross-site scripting vulnerability in GitLab Community Edition and Enterprise Edition. The flaw affects GitLab EE/CE versions 13.5.0 before 17.8.6, 17.9 before 17.9.3, and 17.10 before 17.10.1. The issue is caused by certain merge-request error messages being rendered in a way that can permit attacker-controlled script content to execute in a victim’s browser. Successful exploitation would occur in the context of the GitLab web application when a user views the affected error message content.
