CVE-2025-23310 is a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in NVIDIA Triton Inference Server for Windows and Linux. It affects versions prior to 25.07. The flaw is caused by unsafe use of the alloca function in the server's HTTP request handling code. Specifically, when Triton processes HTTP requests using chunked transfer encoding, it allocates stack memory based on untrusted input. A specially crafted request, such as one containing a large number of chunks, can trigger excessive stack allocation and cause a stack buffer overflow. The issue affects multiple Triton API surfaces, including inference requests, repository index requests, model management endpoints, and shared memory registration endpoints.
