CVE-2025-23368 is a brute-force weakness in WildFly Elytron integration. The affected component does not implement sufficient protections against multiple failed authentication attempts within a short period when authentication is performed through the command-line interface. As a result, an attacker can repeatedly submit authentication guesses against CLI-accessible accounts without adequate throttling or lockout controls, increasing the feasibility of password-guessing attacks against exposed management or administrative interfaces.
