CVE-2025-24173 is a sandbox escape vulnerability in Apple Power Services. Apple states that the issue was addressed with additional entitlement checks and that a vulnerable app may be able to break out of its sandbox. The flaw affects multiple Apple platforms, including visionOS, macOS, tvOS, iOS, and iPadOS, and was fixed in visionOS 2.4, macOS Ventura 13.7.5, macOS Sonoma 14.7.5, macOS Sequoia 15.4, tvOS 18.4, iPadOS 17.7.6, iOS 18.4, and iPadOS 18.4. Based on Apple's description and remediation, the vulnerability appears to stem from insufficient entitlement enforcement in Power Services, allowing an app to access functionality or resources beyond what its sandbox policy should permit.
