CVE-2025-24989 is an improper access control vulnerability in Microsoft Power Pages. The flaw allows an unauthorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network by potentially bypassing the user registration control. The issue affects the access restrictions enforced during registration-related workflows, enabling an attacker to obtain privileges beyond those intended without prior authorization. Microsoft indicated that the vulnerability was mitigated in the service and that the update specifically addressed the registration control bypass.
