CVE-2025-27558 is a FragAttacks-related aggregated-frame handling vulnerability affecting IEEE P802.11-REVme drafts D1.1 through D7.0 and vulnerable Linux kernel Wi-Fi mesh implementations. An incorrect fix for CVE-2020-24588 leaves a mesh-network case unaddressed, allowing an adversary within wireless range to inject arbitrary frames toward devices that accept non-SSP A-MSDU frames. The vulnerability affects mesh networks protected by WPA, WPA2, WPA3, or WEP. The related Linux kernel mitigation tracked as CVE-2025-38512 detects malicious conversion of standard MSDUs into A-MSDUs.
