CVE-2025-29786 is an uncontrolled resource-consumption vulnerability in the Expr expression language for Go before version 1.17.0. When compiling an expression of unbounded length, the parser constructs abstract syntax tree nodes for the expression without sufficient compile-time limits on node count or parsing memory. A pathologically large or deeply structured expression can therefore cause excessive memory allocation while the AST is built.
