CVE-2025-30382 is a remote code execution vulnerability in Microsoft SharePoint Server caused by deserialization of untrusted data. Available reporting describes the flaw as arising in SharePoint metadata processing workflows, including code paths associated with the Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerRuntime namespace, where attacker-controlled serialized data may be processed without sufficient validation. The issue is associated with unsafe handling of serialized .NET objects, including use of BinaryFormatter-style deserialization, which can permit construction of malicious object graphs and execution of attacker-controlled code during deserialization. The vulnerability has been described as affecting on-premises SharePoint deployments, including SharePoint Server Subscription Edition, and Microsoft rated exploitation as more likely.
