CVE-2025-31196 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Apple software affecting Apple Vision Pro, with fixes also noted for iPadOS 17.7.7, macOS Ventura 13.7.6, and macOS Sonoma 14.7.6. Apple states the issue was addressed through improved input validation. The vulnerability is triggered when the affected software processes a maliciously crafted file; the supporting content further associates CVE-2025-31196 with processing maliciously crafted video files. Successful triggering may cause unexpected app termination and, because the flaw is an out-of-bounds read, may also result in disclosure of process memory contents.
