CVE-2025-34089 is an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability in Aexol Studio Remote for Mac, affecting versions up to and including 2025.7. When the application is configured with authentication disabled via the "Allow unknown devices" option, the /api/executeScript endpoint is exposed without access control. A remote attacker can send arbitrary AppleScript in the X-Script HTTP header to this endpoint, which is then executed, including via AppleScript's do shell script functionality. This results in arbitrary command execution on the macOS host in the security context of the Remote for Mac background process.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (modules/exploits/osx/http/remote_for_mac_rce.rb) that exploits an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability (CVE-2025-34089) in Remote for Mac up to version 2025.7. The exploit targets the /api/executeScript HTTP endpoint, which allows arbitrary AppleScript execution (including shell commands) when authentication is disabled. The module first checks the target's version and authentication status via /api/getVersion, then delivers a payload (typically a reverse shell) using AppleScript. The exploit is weaponized, supporting customizable payloads via the Metasploit framework, and is intended for use against macOS systems running vulnerable versions of Remote for Mac. The code is written in Ruby and follows standard Metasploit module structure.
