CVE-2025-34110 is a directory traversal vulnerability in ColoradoFTP Server for Windows through version 1.3 Build 8. The flaw stems from insufficient sanitization of user-supplied file paths in the FTP GET and PUT command handlers. By supplying traversal sequences in FTP file operation paths, an unauthenticated remote attacker can escape the configured FTP root directory and access files elsewhere on the underlying Windows filesystem. The vulnerability enables arbitrary file read via GET and arbitrary file write via PUT, including access to system-sensitive files, and is described as affecting only the Windows version of ColoradoFTP.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary scanner module targeting a directory traversal vulnerability (CVE-2025-34110) in ColoradoFTP Server version 1.3 Build 8 and earlier, specifically on Windows. The module exploits improper handling of file paths in the FTP GET command, allowing an authenticated attacker to retrieve arbitrary files from the server's filesystem by injecting traversal sequences (e.g., '\..\..\'). The module requires valid FTP credentials and allows the user to specify the file path and traversal depth. Upon successful exploitation, the requested file is downloaded and stored as loot in Metasploit. The code is written in Ruby and follows standard Metasploit module structure, with options for target file path, traversal depth, and credentials. No additional payload is delivered; the exploit is focused on information disclosure via file read. The module references the original vulnerability disclosure and upstream commit addressing the issue.
