CVE-2025-35451 is a critical hard-coded credential vulnerability affecting PTZOptics and possibly other ValueHD-based pan-tilt-zoom cameras. The flaw stems from static administrative credentials embedded in device firmware for operating system access over SSH and/or Telnet. Many affected cameras expose SSH on port 22 and Telnet on port 23 on all network interfaces, and the embedded passwords are described as readily crackable. End users cannot change the hard-coded credentials and cannot disable the SSH or Telnet services on affected devices. Because the same credentials are reused across vulnerable firmware and are remotely reachable, an unauthenticated attacker can authenticate to the underlying Linux-based system and take control of the device.
