CVE-2025-36072 is a remote code execution vulnerability in IBM webMethods Integration Server caused by deserialization of untrusted Java object graphs. Affected versions include 10.11 through 10.11_Core_Fix22, 10.15 through 10.15_Core_Fix22, and 11.1 through 11.1_Core_Fix6. The flaw is exposed through the server’s handling of serialized object data via internal APIs or protocols such as IDataBin. An authenticated attacker with service execution privileges can submit a crafted serialized payload that abuses classes available on the server classpath to trigger a gadget chain during deserialization, resulting in arbitrary code execution in the Integration Server process context. The issue stems from insufficient validation and restriction of classes permitted during deserialization.
