CVE-2025-36604 is an improper neutralization of special elements used in an operating system command vulnerability in Dell Unity products, including Unity, UnityVSA, and Unity XT, affecting Dell Unity Operating Environment version 5.5 and earlier. The flaw is pre-authentication and remotely reachable. Available reporting indicates the issue is tied to login redirection handling in UnityVSA, where attacker-controlled input associated with a redirect URI can be incorporated into a command string without sufficient sanitization and then executed by the underlying operating system. By supplying crafted input containing shell metacharacters or command separators to a vulnerable endpoint, an unauthenticated remote attacker can trigger arbitrary operating system command execution.
