CVE-2025-37799 is an information-disclosure vulnerability in the Linux kernel vmxnet3 network driver’s XDP processing path. For ring0 packet buffers, generally packets from 128 bytes through 3 KB, vmxnet3_process_xdp initialized the XDP buffer using an incorrect buffer length rather than the descriptor-reported packet length. This can cause the transmitted frame length to exceed the legitimate packet contents, appending uninitialized data from the backing kernel page to outbound traffic.
