CVE-2025-37924 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ksmbd SMB server implementation during Kerberos authentication. According to the provided description, a prior change set sess->user = NULL to address a dangling pointer created by ksmbd_free_user. However, there remains a race window in which one thread passes sess->user to ksmbd_free_user while another thread is still operating on the same session and dereferences sess->user before it is cleared to NULL. This creates a concurrent use-after-free condition on the session user object.
