CVE-2025-38201 is a Linux kernel vulnerability in the netfilter nftables pipapo set implementation (nft_set_pipapo). The issue occurs during hashtable resizing when the maximum map bucket size is not clamped, allowing sizing/allocation behavior that can exceed safe integer bounds for the allocation path. As described in the fix, the vulnerability is resolved by clamping the maximum map bucket size to INT_MAX. Without this bound, the kernel can hit WARN_ON_ONCE in __kvmalloc_node_noprof() because __GFP_NOWARN is unset during the problematic allocation path. Based on the available vendor context, this is primarily an availability issue in kernel memory allocation/resizing logic rather than a demonstrated code-execution flaw.
