CVE-2025-38731 is a double-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel DRM Xe graphics driver's xe_vm_bind_ioctl function. When argument validation fails during an array bind operation, error handling frees the bind_ops allocation without clearing its pointer, allowing subsequent cleanup to free the same allocation again. Kernel AddressSanitizer detected the resulting invalid free. The fix sets bind_ops to NULL immediately after its initial release.

A double-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel drm/xe vm_bind_ioctl path. The plugin explicitly identifies this CVE as its CVSS v2 score source. Security updates for affected Rocky Linux 10.1 kernel packages are available under CIQ advisory crlsa-2026_1690; the plugin's aggregate exploit-availability flag does not establish individual exploit availability.
A Linux kernel double-free vulnerability in drm/xe vm_bind_ioctl.
A Linux kernel Intel Xe DRM driver double-free vulnerability in xe_vm_bind_ioctl, triggered on an array-bind argument-check failure. It can cause a KASAN-detected invalid free and kernel instability.
