CVE-2025-39702 is an observable timing discrepancy in the Linux kernel IPv6 Segment Routing subsystem. Message authentication code verification used a non-constant-time comparison, allowing comparison duration to vary according to matching data. The correction replaces this operation with an appropriate constant-time comparison helper to prevent timing leakage during MAC verification.
