CVE-2025-39730 is a bounds-checking vulnerability in the Linux kernel NFS function nfs_fh_to_dentry(). The function accesses an embedded filehandle without first verifying that the supplied filehandle meets the minimum required length. An undersized filehandle can consequently cause out-of-bounds access in kernel context, potentially resulting in a kernel crash or denial of service. The fix validates the minimum filehandle length before accessing the embedded filehandle.
