CVE-2025-39918 is a linked-list and memory-corruption vulnerability in the Linux kernel MediaTek mt76 Wi-Fi driver, in drivers/net/wireless/mediatek/mt76/tx.c. The flaw affects the pending-transmit scheduling logic in mt76_txq_schedule_pending_wcid() and mt76_txq_schedule_pending(). Under certain conditions, scheduled WCID entries remain linked to a temporary on-stack list rather than being removed or transferred correctly. Subsequent list operations can operate on invalid list state, resulting in linked-list corruption. The issue was introduced in Linux kernel 6.12 and is resolved upstream in 6.12.46, 6.16.6, and 6.17.
