CVE-2025-41228 is a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter Server caused by improper input validation in certain login-page URL paths. A remote attacker with network access to affected ESXi host or vCenter Server login endpoints can supply crafted input that is reflected in the generated web page and executed in a victim user's browser when the victim visits the maliciously crafted URL. The issue affects VMware vCenter Server 8.0 before 8.0 U3e, VMware ESXi 8.0 before ESXi80U3se-24659227, and VMware ESXi 7.0 before ESXi70U3sv-24723868; related VMware Cloud Foundation, Telco Cloud Platform, and Telco Cloud Infrastructure offerings are also affected where they include the vulnerable components.
