CVE-2025-42944 is a critical insecure deserialization vulnerability in SAP NetWeaver AS Java, specifically affecting the RMI-P4 communication path in ServerCore 7.50. The flaw arises because the platform deserializes untrusted Java objects received over the RMI-P4 interface without sufficient validation. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted serialized Java payload to an exposed RMI-P4 service, causing attacker-controlled code paths to execute during deserialization and enabling arbitrary operating system command execution in the context of the SAP NetWeaver process.
