CVE-2025-42963 is a critical unsafe deserialization vulnerability in the Log Viewer component of SAP NetWeaver Application Server for Java. The flaw arises from inadequate validation of serialized Java objects handled by the Log Viewer diagnostic interface. An authenticated administrator can supply a malicious serialized object that is deserialized by the Java runtime, allowing attacker-controlled gadget chains to execute. Reported exploitation paths indicate the chain can leverage Java reflection mechanisms and ultimately invoke operating system command execution, resulting in compromise of the underlying host.
