CVE-2025-43359 is a kernel logic vulnerability in Apple operating systems in which a UDP server socket that is intended to be bound only to a local interface may instead become bound to all interfaces. The issue was attributed to improper state management in the kernel networking stack. This can cause the effective network exposure of a service to differ from the application’s intended configuration, violating interface-binding assumptions and potentially exposing a locally scoped UDP service more broadly than expected. Apple addressed the issue through improved state management.
