CVE-2025-43383 is an out-of-bounds access vulnerability in Apple Model I/O. When the framework processes a maliciously crafted media file, insufficient bounds checking can result in memory being accessed outside the intended buffer. Apple states the issue was addressed through improved bounds checking. The vulnerability affects Apple platforms including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS in versions prior to iOS 18.7.2 and iPadOS 18.7.2, iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1, macOS Sequoia 15.7.2, macOS Tahoe 26.1, tvOS 26.1, and visionOS 26.1.
