CVE-2025-43448 is a sandbox escape vulnerability in Apple CloudKit affecting iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. The flaw was addressed through improved validation of symlinks, indicating that CloudKit did not sufficiently validate symbolic link handling in a security-sensitive file access path. A malicious application could exploit this weakness to cause operations intended to remain confined within the app sandbox to resolve outside the permitted boundary. Successful exploitation could allow an app to break out of its sandbox and access resources or perform actions beyond its intended isolation context.
