CVE-2025-43530 is a macOS privacy and security-feature bypass vulnerability in the VoiceOver accessibility stack, specifically involving ScreenReader.framework and the associated trusted service used for accessibility automation. The flaw allows a local attacker to bypass Transparency, Consent, and Control (TCC), the macOS mechanism that mediates access to protected resources such as documents, microphone input, camera access, and application automation. Reported exploitation paths include abuse of Apple-signed trusted components through insufficient validation and a time-of-check time-of-use race condition that permits a process to be altered after trust validation but before privileged use. As a result, an unprivileged local application may be able to execute arbitrary AppleScript, send AppleEvents to other processes including Finder, and access sensitive user data without the normal consent prompts. Apple remediated the issue by adding stronger entitlement-based validation checks.
