CVE-2025-48566 is an Android System elevation-of-privilege vulnerability affecting Android 13 through 16. The flaw is caused by improper input validation in multiple locations when handling a forwarded intent, creating a possible bypass of the user profile boundary. An attacker able to execute code locally can exploit the vulnerable intent-handling paths to cross profile isolation controls that should restrict access between user or work profiles. The issue does not require user interaction and can result in privilege escalation from a local app context.
