CVE-2025-55067 affects Veeder-Root TLS4B Automatic Tank Gauge (ATG) systems prior to version 11.A. The vulnerability is caused by improper handling of Unix time values that exceed the 2038 epoch rollover, resulting in an integer overflow/wraparound condition. When the system clock reaches January 19, 2038, the device can reset its time to December 13, 1901. This erroneous time rollback breaks time-dependent functions in the ATG system, including authentication and operational workflows. Reported effects include authentication failures, loss of login access, disruption of history visibility, and termination or failure of leak detection-related functions. The issue can also corrupt log chronology and other timer-dependent behavior.
