CVE-2025-55142 is a missing authorization vulnerability in the administrative interfaces of Ivanti Connect Secure before 22.7R2.9 or 22.8R2, Ivanti Policy Secure before 22.7R1.6, Ivanti ZTA Gateway before 2.8R2.3-723, and Ivanti Neurons for Secure Access before 22.8R1.4. The flaw results from improper privilege enforcement in code paths that handle authentication-related configuration. A remote authenticated user holding only read-only administrative privileges can perform actions that should be restricted to higher-privileged administrators, including changing authentication settings such as password policy, multi-factor authentication, and external identity provider configuration. The issue affects the web-based administrative interface and is likely also reachable through associated management APIs.
