CVE-2025-59373 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability in the restore mechanism of ASUS System Control Interface, a component used by MyASUS on ASUS Windows systems. The flaw stems from improper validation when files are copied during restore operations into protected system paths. A low-privileged local user can abuse this behavior to place attacker-controlled files in locations that are later trusted or executed by the service, resulting in arbitrary file execution with SYSTEM privileges.
