CVE-2025-59530 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in quic-go, a Go implementation of the QUIC protocol. In affected versions prior to 0.49.0, 0.54.1, and 0.55.0, a misbehaving or malicious QUIC server can trigger a reachable assertion failure in a quic-go client during the handshake by prematurely sending a HANDSHAKE_DONE frame. This causes the client process to panic or crash. The flaw stems from incorrect handling of premature HANDSHAKE_DONE frames and the associated key-discard logic during handshake state processing.
