CVE-2025-62847 is a SQL injection vulnerability affecting QNAP QTS and QuTS hero. The flaw stems from improper validation and neutralization of user-controlled input before it is incorporated into SQL queries, described by the vendor as improper neutralization of argument delimiters in a command. Publicly available technical details indicate the issue is present in handling of the msg parameter in the nvrlog_event_add endpoint. By supplying crafted input, an attacker can alter execution logic and leverage the injection condition to achieve arbitrary code execution on affected systems. The vulnerability was demonstrated against QNAP TS-453E devices in the context of QTS/QuTS hero and can lead to code execution in the context of admin.
