CVE-2025-66373 is an HTTP request smuggling vulnerability in Akamai Ghost on Akamai CDN edge servers before 2025-11-17. Akamai Ghost incorrectly processes certain invalid chunked request bodies where the declared chunk size does not match the actual size of the subsequent chunk data. Under certain circumstances, Ghost forwards the malformed request and the extra trailing bytes to the origin server instead of rejecting the request. An attacker can place a second, smuggled HTTP request inside those superfluous bytes. Exploitability depends on the origin server's parsing behavior and whether it accepts and processes the forwarded malformed request stream in a way that desynchronizes request boundaries between Akamai Ghost and the origin.
