CVE-2025-69426 is a critical vulnerability in Ruckus vRIoT IoT Controller firmware versions prior to 3.0.0.0 (GA). The flaw is caused by hardcoded credentials for an operating system user account embedded in an initialization script. Because the SSH service is network-accessible and not restricted by source IP controls, a remote attacker can authenticate over SSH using the embedded credentials. Although the account configuration disables SCP and pseudo-TTY allocation, those restrictions do not prevent abuse of SSH local port forwarding. An attacker can use SSH port forwarding to reach the internal Docker socket, then issue Docker operations that mount the host filesystem into a container. This enables escape from the intended container boundary and arbitrary command execution as root on the underlying vRIoT controller host, resulting in full compromise of the appliance.
