CVE-2025-71085 is an integer-conversion flaw in the Linux kernel IPv6 CALIPSO packet-label handling path. In calipso_skbuff_setattr(), an oversized calculated headroom value can be passed to skb_cow(). An implicit conversion in __skb_cow() can cause a headroom value exceeding INT_MAX to become negative. Although the headroom comparison succeeds, the resulting negative delta can be passed as the nhead argument to pskb_expand_head(), triggering its BUG_ON condition. The upstream fix changes calipso_skbuff_setattr() to invoke skb_cow() only when packet headroom must be grown.
